Uche Sparks Dominant Palace Victory at Irish Side Shelbourne.

Despite entering their first-ever European adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually secures them a place in the Conference League qualifying rounds.

Another victory in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal direct passage to the knockout stages, particularly following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Grasp the Opportunity

This match offered a chance for several Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second start since arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second game in match.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some comically weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring with his very first touch, but saw his effort blocked.

Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.

A solitary worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the traveling side.
